An important change will take place on Wednesday, Novermber 4, 2009 with this Web site.
On this date the Web site will convert to a paid access format. This will require a paid subscription to access the news portion of the Web site. On Novermber 4, 2009 the Web site will be closed from 9:00 a.m. to 11:00 a.m.. to implement the conversion. Your current login and password will no longer work after 4:30 p.m.
There are two subscription opportunities.
The first is for paid print subscribers to the Alice Echo-News Journal. Access to the Web site will be included with your print subscription for no additional charge. However your subscription must be paid and active. On Novermber 4, 2009 access can be established by going to the Subscriber Services page or by calling (361) 664-6588. Please remember your current login and password will no longer work after 11:00 a.m. on Novermber 4, 2009.
Current online readers who do not have a print subscription must establish a paid online subscription in order to continue access to the Web site. You may subscribe online on Novermber 4, 2009 by going to the Subscriber Services page or by calling (361) 664-6588.
The subscription price will be $65.00 for one year or $39.00 for six months.
